GEORGIA - Malkin nailed it on Planned Parenthood

Thank you for printing "When will they look into Planned Parenthood's obscene profits?" (June 6), by Michelle Malkin.
It is shameful that Planned Parenthood, whose primary purpose is to kill unborn babies by abortion, receives $337 million of our hard-earned taxes. It is even more shameful that this is occurring at a time when this controversial business is reaping massive yearly profits of $115 million, and continues to be exposed by scandal after scandal.
Perhaps the elected officials who are throwing money at Planned Parenthood can humor us by titling their legislation "the Human Pest Control Funding Bill." The dictionary defines a "pest" as a person or thing causing constant annoyance; a thing to be avoided or done away with as soon as possible. As vulgar as the analogy might seem to be for the sensitive person, let's face it: Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics are human pest-control centers. They give new meaning to the word "pesticide." No wonderful gift from God should ever be treated as if he or she is a pest or nuisance, defined as "not valuable."
Planned Parenthood charges more than $400 for an abortion at 10 weeks. By this time, an unborn baby has a beating heart, recordable brain waves, all of his organs in place and perfectly formed hands and feet. Planned Parenthood refers only one baby for adoption for every 120 babies it kills. Compare this to Care Pregnancy Centers and Birthright, nonprofit organizations that receive little or no government funding, that provide free, confidential help to women with crisis pregnancies -- and save their babies, too.
Thomas Jefferson once wrote "The care of human life and happiness, and not its destruction, is the first and only legitimate object of good government." It's time to de-fund Planned Parenthood.
