RIGHT TO LIFE OF GREATER CINCINNATI PRO-LIFE eNEWS After Election Summary November 5, 2008--Our heartfelt gratitude to the hundreds of pro-life warriors who worked for pro-life candidates, wrote letters to the editor, distributed literature, manned the polls, were a presence in front of abortion mills, prayed, and more during this election. Election results related to the sanctity of human life are honestly somber. However our determination to work for truth and protection for all innocent human beings remains the same, even greater. We are always working against odds, now they are higher. Summary (LifeNews.com, information resource):

* Now president-elect Barak Obama is radically pro-abortion and has vowed to sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would overturn every federal and state pro-life law in the nation and grant complete and unrestricted access to abortion

* Washington State is the second state in the country now with legal physician-assisted suicide, where a doctor can write a prescription for drugs expressly for a person to kill themselves * The second South Dakota abortion ban attempt failed with similar numbers as in 2006 - if passed could have initiated a court challenge that caused the Supreme Court to revisit and overthrow Roe v. Wade

* The Colorado personhood amendment ballot initiative failed- also if passed could have initiated a court challenge that caused the Supreme Court to revisit and overthrow Roe v. Wade

* Michigan now has taxpayer-funded, completely unregulated and unrestricted, breeding and destruction of human embryos for experimentation and research, with no support granted to ethical adult stem cell research

* California failed again to pass a parental notification law requiring parents to be notified before a minor daughter's abortion * In this area, longtime distinguished and respected pro-life champion, U.S. Congressman Steve Chabot was defeated in his bid for re-election
